Chaotix junior member and best friend of Mighty.

He was a prototype for Tails years ago, appearing with Mighty and Sonic in the old SegaSonic Arcade game.

Ray proved to viewers that despite his timid nature, anyone could go super, just that the chaos emeralds and master emerald react differently on people.

BWA?! Ray goes super? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN? (I haven't been keeping up with the happenings of Archie Sonic thanks to problems on the Mobius Encyclopedia...)

Not much deviation from his official design here, except maybe the necklace, but it's a great outfit to begin with, so who needs a change, neh? Also, I might just be unobservant, but doesn't Ray have flaps of skin below his arms of some sort?

Actually, Ray's current design doesn't appear to have the traditional flaps of skin that gave his species their (not quite correct) name, so it's not so much an omission on your part as it is a bizarre quirk of the original comic artist's style. Ironically, it makes Ray look more like a normal squirrel than anything.
