Sonic Unleashed is no doubt the most beautiful 3D Sonic game in history, no matter what version of the game your playing.

Apotos is based on the Greeck Island called Mykonos, well known for their giant windmills, giant bell towers, buildings made from Marble, and the crystal blue sea. Sega did their research well.

In Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rush, their are also stages based off Apotos's design.

This looks so awesome!
Apotos, Windmill Isle Zone, is perhaps my favorite stage in Sonic Unleashed.
My second favorite would be Spagonia, Rooftop Run Zone. :D

Sonic Unleashed looks so beautiful, it tricks people into thinking that its the greatest 3D sonic game.
