My only regret is that the arch of them being brainwashed didn't last long. That being said, Mogul using Sonic's loyalty to his friend's lives to get him to work for him was brilliant.

And THAT is why you don't fragging mess with Mammoth Mogul-if you do, he mind-controls your friends and blackmails you into doing what he wants! It also serves to neatly explain Mighty and Mina's superhuman abilities...sort of. And yet they STILL can't take Sonic down...

Also, Sonic's probably thinking either "Ooh, this is gonna hurt...", "Well, this is awkward...", or "...Help." Awesome no matter how you slice it, and it's not even coloured yet!

I would've loved to see an alternate version of the story which Sonic submits, would,ve been pretty interesting.

Well, you could argue that Sonic did, in a way. Mogul specifically formed the "New Fearsome Foursome" for the sole purpose of getting him a Chaos Emerald and facilitating his escape, and in order to save his friends, Sonic had to submit and retrieve the Emerald (essentially becoming the fourth member of the group, albeit not by choice).

I get what you mean, though. That would be interesting, although some comic fans would call "HAX" on the fact that Archie kind of already did that concept in their earlier storylines (remember the one where Robotnik tricked an amnesiac Sonic into attacking the Freedom Fighters, or the classic Mecha Sonic fiasco?).

It was a very good plan to, especially when he sent Mina out to the ocean, Tails up into the atmosphere and Mighty into Eggman's terratority, with no hope of being fast enough to rescue all of them, thus Sonic and Ash had no choice but to give him a Chaos Emerald and release him from prison.

Than in the next issue, sending all of Sonic's enemies to capture him, but let him free however mainly to embarras him and the Freedom Fighters reckless reputation.

Yep, Mogul at his best.
