Woot, it's been Long overdo that I do some group pics being that I done so with my two Mobian Studies pics.
The Freedom Fighters, or moe specifically the Knothole or New Mobotropolis Team branch. I gve a small description on how I drew the below.
Sonic- Been drawing this dude since the age of 5 so it's really no problem to draw. This is my first time drawing Sonic in his signature pose. The thing I mainly have trouble with drawing Sonic and most characters in general is how long his legs should be, normally It's at least one head length, but sometimes Sonic is seen with shorter legs. Also I sometimes can't determine what color of blue to use.
Tails- Like Sonic, I been drawing Sonic for a long time. I wanted Tails to have a cocky look on him, telling folks that Sonic's antics are rubbing off on him. I usually have a tiny problem of drawing Tails either too tall or too small, it depends.
Sally- Been drawing Sally for a long time also, pretty much since my first comic and SatAM, Sally's shape kinda differs upon artist, but my favorite artist version of her is diffenately by Ben Bates. I did her Vest a tiny bit different here also I didn't gave her the modern eyebrows that you normally see, looking at the art in Genesis, I said to myself that she looks better without the giant eyebrows.
Antoine- This is so my favorite piece here! I gave him a snobbish, rich pretty boy smug on him, as if he's superior to everyone else (despite him being a little skittish). I originally had french boy having his sword out, but I changed it so it didn't too up too much space. Overall, He turned out the best here.
Rotor-Boy I couldn't decide whether to give ol'Boomer his old threads or his Nanite Battlesuit, but went with his old threads. Rotor/Boomer is a little more harder to draw than other characters, but like other tall and bulky characters like Big and Vector, I went with the flow. I almost forgot his glassess at the last second.
Bunnie- My favorite all-time character, didn't know whether to have her hair in braids or not. I problmly should've drew her with braids, but whats done is done. Bunnie got lots of hair that's for sure, it's amazing how much Bunnie changed from her earlier concepts till now.
Amy- Amy is problemly my favorite character to draw, and the pose I chose here was dang perfect. I wanted to so her playful, childish and girly side with her pose, even adding her mallet into the mix to show that she is not to be underestimated despite how much younger she is from the rest of the group, especially from the more experienced, inteligent and younger Tails. If you watched a bunch of japanese anime shows, you'd know that tiny little girls are the most scariest characters around.
Nicole- While not a technical a F.F, she's been with the group for a long time in her handheld form so why not put her here. I wanted her to appear as if she's warping, thus the digital effects here. she's usually display in a somewhat playful of naughty look sometimes, especially when talking to Sonic in some issues (cause she has tiny feelings for the blue dude since the issue she took over Sally's body.) so I went with a somewhat angelic/mystical like appearance. Nicole has alot of black so to assure that her colors don't seem merge, I add a bluish outline around parts of her so you can tell where each finger is and not seem confuse. They do that in the comic too wich is a good trick.
I did considered wanting to put T-Pup and Dulcy into here, but I said meh at the last moment, I wanted to focus on the current line- up of the Archie comics.
I'll be doing the Chaotix next, and other Freedom Fighters, villian groups, etc.
