The Death Egg as it appears in Sky Sanctuary in Sonic Generations, drawned to the best of my abilities till some screenshots come out.

The most iconic contraption of Dr. Eggman, having surviving 3 games (Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles) and spawning many lookalikes, such as the one in Sonic the Fighters and the Archie comic's Death Egg MK 2. It's never been said what excatly the Death Egg was built for, all that it's known is that it's indeed a doomsday weopon.

The thing is so big, it made Angel Island plummet to the ocean when it was sent hurdling to the lake area the Lauch Base was eventually built when Sonic first blew it up.

I can tell you as a Sonic buff, that the oringal Death Egg that was built by Dr. Robotnik, was going to be used to robotize the ENTIRE planet at once in one single stroke. That way his rule would be absolute. And this recreation from Sonic Generations is amazing.

The Death Egg is clearly a mini version of the Death Star.

Eggman uses its laser to destroy cities to take over the world!

yeah. in sonic 3 and knuckles at the end you fought on a platform. when you defeated eggman the death egg started to malfunction and it crashed into the mountain on angel island. as for sonic, he fell into mushroom hill zone. then eggman stole the master emerald from knuckles and used it to repower the death egg
